Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Residual at residual.space. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

Residual is provided by Lee Reevell, trading as Hilbre Studio, 52 Grange Cross Lane, Wirral, CH48 8BQ (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@residual.space.

1. The service

Residual provides deterministic development-appraisal tooling. Outputs are decision-support figures; they are not financial, valuation or investment advice, and that includes anything Sid says. You remain responsible for the inputs you provide and the professional judgement applied to the results.

2. Accounts & seats

Subscriptions are sold per account, with a seat cap by plan. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.

3. Trials, billing & cancellation

During the private beta, access to Residual is by invitation, and paid plans are not yet on sale. Once they are, the rest of this section applies.

Each organisation can have one 14-day free trial, for a single user. After the trial, access requires an active subscription billed through our payment processor. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the current period.

Hilbre Studio is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.

4. Acceptable use

You must not, and must not let anyone else:

1. use Residual for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes anyone's rights;
2. upload, type or store special category data (such as health information), information about criminal offences, information about children, or personal information about residents, tenants or applicants (for example tenancy lists, rent rolls or allocation records). Residual is designed for scheme-level data and doesn't need it;
3. upload personal information about any other individual unless your organisation has a lawful basis to share it with us for this purpose, and only what is necessary;
4. try to access another organisation's data, probe or test Residual's security without our written permission, or get around usage limits;
5. upload malware;
6. resell or provide Residual to third parties outside your organisation without our agreement.

If personal information is uploaded by mistake, tell us at privacy@residual.space and we'll help you delete it.

We may suspend access if these rules are broken, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

5. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid in the preceding 12 months.
